Today in class we started reading Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson. If you were not here today be sure to check your packet for missed assignments. We started off the class by writing a letter to ourselves about something that is difficult to talk about. This letter will be sealed and locked away until we finish the book and see how Melinda, the main character of the book, deals with the difficult issue she is facing. We will then take the letters back out and decide what we'd like to do with them...share or shred. Then we moved on to notes for exam review and read the first 18 pages of the book.
Tomorrow there will be a guest speaker in class and Thursday we will work on scheduling with Ms. Williams.
